Your levy. Your ideas. Your chance to shape the future.

Every time you pay the nursery levy, you’re investing in the future of our industry. But did you know you also get a say in where that money goes?

On Thursday 28 August at 1pm (AEST) we’re hosting a 45-minute webinar that puts you in the driver’s seat. You’ll learn:

  • how levy investments are decided — across sustainability, innovation, biosecurity, communications and workforce development
  • how you can put forward ideas for funding
  • what projects are already delivering results for growers.

And you’ll get to ask your questions directly to:

  • Joanna Cave, GIA CEO
  • Heath McKenzie, GIA Ideas Committee member
  • Gavin Hall, The Regulatory Support & Response Coordination (MT24008) project lead.

Don’t miss this chance to make your voice heard and influence the next wave of levy-funded projects.

Safeguarding your pesticide access

Pesticide regulation is complicated – and waiting until there’s a problem puts your business at risk.

That’s why the Regulatory Support & Response Coordination project (MT24008) is working to:

  • give growers a clear voice in regulatory decisions
  • simplify and explain the process
  • get ahead of potential restrictions before they hit your bottom line.

Project lead Gavin Hall will unpack what this means for growers in our webinar next Thursday.

In the meantime, check out our latest nursery paper for the full story.

Lifecycle assessment for the nursery industry- closing 5 September

There's still time to complete the nursery industry’s lifecycle assessment (LCA) survey. All production nurseries are encouraged to take part.

What’s in it for you?

By completing the survey, you’ll help build an environmental benchmark for the nursery industry. The results will feed into a national sustainability program that supports best practice in climate action, resource use and environmental performance.

The insights will help production nurseries understand where their environmental impacts occur, spot opportunities to reduce costs and harm, and show their commitment to sustainability.

You’ll also get a tailored snapshot of your own production nursery’s environmental impact, based on the data you enter.

This high-level summary will only be sent to you. You can use these results to see the environmental performance of your nursery as assessed by our LCA experts.

Questions? Contact Haoran (Harry) at haoran.lei@thinkstep-anz.com or +61 2 7238 0331.

The survey will close on Friday 5 September. Thank you for your support!
